Youth Day Camp (Ages 6-12)

Learn the game of softball and expand on what you currently know in a fun-filled week at UCSB's Campus Diamond with coaches and current college players! This day camp is designed to help teach girls new to the game of softball as well as those who have played for years.

Camp will review all aspects of the game, including hitting, base running, defensive fundamentals, pitching, and catching.

Drop-Off at 8:45 AM & Pick-Up at 12:15 PM at Campus Diamond Entrance, Monday-Thursday, June 12-15.

Summer Camp - Youth Academy & Advanced Showcase

Multi-day camp with morning and afternoon sessions dedicated to position-specific defense, pitching and catching, and offensive stations. The days will feature technical aspects of the game, competing in game situations, sports conditioning and nutrition discussion.

The Youth Academy (Grades 2-7) is more focused on technical fundamentals that young softball players will be able to build upon as they grow in the sport. The Advanced Showcase (Grades 8-12) is a great way for campers to review fundamentals and learn advanced techniques to up level their game, showcase their skills and interact with coaches!

T-shirt included with the price of camp. Overnight camper price includes 8 meals: dinner the first day through breakfast the last day. Day camper price includes lunch on Tuesday & Wednesday.

Overnight accommodations and meals will be at Tropicana Garden dorms. Camp coaches will also stay overnight in the dorms.

Skills Session - Slapping (Youth & Advanced)

4 Evenings in March: Tuesdays, March 7, 14 & 21 and Thursday, March 30 at 5-6 PM • Campus Diamond, UCSB

Interested in learning more about the lefty short game? Learn and improve lefty slapping skills by focusing on footwork in and out of the batter's box and fundamental mechanics of ball placement. Some advanced mechanics for using a soft slap, power slap, chop/bounce slap, and sneaky bunts may be covered.

5:1 coach:slapper ratio at the skills sessions.

Skills Session - Pitching (Youth & Advanced)

4 Wednesday evenings in March: March 1 & 8, 5-6 PM and March 15 & 22, 6-7 PM.

Come learn pitching fundamentals and advanced techniques with Coach Brie!

Youth (Grades 2-7) will learn the fundamentals of pitching to create a great foundation for advanced skills. For youth pitchers with more pitching experience, there is the opportunity to learn movement pitches.

Advanced (Grades 8-12) will review fundamentals of moving pitches and learn more about using their pitches in competitive situations. They will also learn the importance of arm care and other drills and exercises to help them with increasing their velocity and movement.

5:1 coach:pitcher ratio at the skills sessions. Please bring your own catcher!

Come learn catching fundamentals and advanced techniques!

Youth (Grades 2-7) will learn the fundamentals of catching to create a great foundation for advanced skills, including receiving/framing, blocking, and throwing out runners.

Advanced (Grades 8-12) will review fundamentals of catching and go over finer techniques to get faster. They will also learn the importance of their position related to the entire defense.

5:1 coach:catcher ratio at the skills sessions. Please bring your catching gear!

Please bring everything you would need to pitch: catcher (parents are fine!), glove, ball, cleats, and athletic shoes.
